Morning Coffee, Homemade

I think by now, everyone knows I gave up Starbucks, well the store bought daily cup of Starbucks latte. I never thought this would be possible. It’s been 3 weeks now that I haven’t stepped into Starbucks store. That doesn’t mean I haven’t had any Starbucks lattes. Prior to my falling-out with Starbucks, I stocked-up on some of my favorite beans – Mexican Organic and regular Starbucks Espresso roast. Since the day “MY” Starbucks closed, I have been making my own cup of latte EVERY SINGLE DAY. Can you believe that? Three years ago, I tormented our realtor with choosing only homes that are near a Starbucks store as I couldn’t live without one, and today, I am making my own cup. And to say we can’t change????So every night, I prepare all that is needed to make a delightful cup of ice-latte (for Florida humid mornings, I couldn’t imagine anything else). Since I drink my Green Monster on my way to work, one cup is all I have all day. Most days, at least. This is a great improvement in so many ways – savings of $35 on average per week (it’s probably more, but I won’t disclose the truth since Chef may find out), extra 15 minutes in bed every morning and most of all, one cup is all I really need. I do have to say I miss my Starbucks crew…So off I go to enjoy my home made ice-latte in my travel Starbucks glass…
