I don’t even know who I am anymore. I mean I’ve been in the kitchen since 7:30pm baking, cooking, experimenting, creating….I mean really, me? Who would have thought this would be me?!?! I still can’t get over this. Not so long ago, I couldn’t even stand being in the kitchen, and nowadays I find comfort and enjoyment. Oh how things change…
So here is the result of excitement from the kitchen…chocolate chip buttermilk scones, strawberry puffs and chicken milanese. What a mixture, right? I had plans of making these beauties this past weekend, but somehow spending time in the kitchen just didn’t seem right when I had the best of times with Kiki. It was a girls’ weekend, and we lived it up!
These days Kiki is down to one nap a day, so around 6:30pm she started yawning, rubbing her eyes, so I decided to put her to bed about 30 minutes earlier than usual, came downstairs and was about to sit down and watch mindless TV, when all of a sudden I had an urge to play in the kitchen. It might have been all this rain, chilly air, who knows, but it felt good to play in the kitchen. It was definitely a night of comfort foods —- doughy, sweet and fluffy…So much yummy food which I can’t wait to share. I think that is really one my favorite things about cooking – sharing with others.

I’ll tell ya’…no better reward at the end of the day than delicious creations…by me. I always say, if I could learn how to cook, I could learn anything. My, my my…who am I?
