Fundraising Soiree at the Red Light

Last Sunday, I was invited to join the South Florida Foodies (thank you for including me in this amazing group) for a late afternoon soiree at the I was so happy that I attended the event as it gave me a chance to finally meet so many of the amazing foodies and chefs in person. No matter how much I love twitter, blogosphere, facebook, emails (aka the 21st century), there is nothing like meeting people in person. The late afternoon soiree started off with a refreshing rum drink, but unfortunately, I have no idea what else was in it…you have to trust me, it was good, not too sweet, very refreshing – perfect for a muggy afternoon by the Little River. I’ve eaten at the Red Light on one other occasion, and loved it, and if the chef Wessel is recognizable for anything, it is his love of citrus. Everything was so refreshing and light. It oozed summer.
